MP Amutike Tours Community Projects
Mongu Central Member of Parliament, Hon. Oliver Amutike, spent this week inspecting Constituency Development Fund (CDF) projects within his constituency.
Council Engineers Join Inspection
Accompanied by Mongu Municipal Council engineers, Mr. Amutike toured various construction sites to assess progress on the ongoing CDF-funded infrastructure projects.
Green Market Shelter Visit
The inspection began with a visit to the Green Market shelter, where construction is actively underway. The project is expected to provide traders with a more secure and hygienic environment.
Kapulanga (Liyoyelo) Market Progress
At Kapulanga Market, also known as Liyoyelo, significant groundwork has been done. Once completed, the market will improve trading conditions for local vendors.
Mukoko Secondary School Development
One of the highlights of the tour was Mukoko Secondary School, where a 1x3 classroom block has been completed and branded.
Furnished with New Desks
The newly constructed classroom block at Mukoko has also been fully furnished with desks purchased through the CDF, ensuring readiness for immediate use.
Kanyonyo Science Laboratory on Track
Construction works are also ongoing at Kanyonyo Science Laboratory. According to the engineers, the facility is steadily progressing and will boost science education in the area.
MP Pleased with Progress
Hon. Amutike expressed satisfaction with the pace and quality of the projects. He commended the construction teams and stakeholders involved for their commitment.
2024 CDF Market Upgrades Underway
Mongu Municipal Council is currently constructing and upgrading three markets using funds from the 2024 CDF allocation, including those visited during the tour.
Boosting Local Business
Once completed, the markets are expected to empower more traders by providing decent, well-structured shelters that support economic activity.
Supporting Education Infrastructure
The improvements at Mukoko Secondary School and Kanyonyo Laboratory reflect the government’s effort to uplift learning conditions in Mongu Central.
