Nalikwanda Constituency’s Member of Parliament,
Hon. Moses Simunji Koonwa—popularly known as
Mr. Kamofu—has intensified his grassroots engagement across all eleven wards of the constituency. The UPND lawmaker is actively interacting with constituents, reminding them of the ongoing development projects and urging them to support him and President
Hakainde Hichilema in the upcoming 2026 general elections.
Hon. Simunji’s presence on the ground reflects the ruling party’s broader strategy to consolidate grassroots support ahead of the polls. As a dedicated member of the
United Party for National Development (UPND), he is leveraging both his personal rapport with the people and the government's developmental achievements in health, infrastructure, and education to build momentum for re-election.

Recently, Nalikwanda has seen positive strides in service delivery, including the equipping of five health facilities with modern medical supplies. These initiatives are part of the UPND government's nationwide efforts to uplift rural communities and ensure equitable access to essential services.
At the national level, the UPND has launched extensive mobilization campaigns and reaffirmed its commitment to free, fair, and credible elections in 2026. Hon. Simunji’s alignment with this vision underscores his readiness to continue delivering results for the people of Nalikwanda.

As it stands, there is
no opposition MP representing Nalikwanda—Hon. Simunji remains the constituency's sole elected representative. His continued presence and visibility on the ground suggest a strong desire to retain the seat and further contribute to national development.
